Another gut punch from Pete Scazzero.
The disconnect between discipleship and emotional maturity has left a church full of people who hurt each other. We’re in denial about our junk. We pretend to be OK. We avoid talking about our pain and grief. The result is dishonest, inauthentic relationships.
If you haven’t read Scazzero, you should. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality is where to start. It is in my view an essential read for Christians today, and especially anyone in leadership.
